Gomen minna-san. Singapore went sayonara for a couple of hours. Everything is back up for now, but Ohio will be gone at 12mn EST. Please make sure you switch to Singapore via /server sg.bakanet.org

My guess is everyone has realised that BakaNet is going downhill. I thank you for your support for the past 1 month. Everything has been going rather unsmoothly but financially we're too strapped to maintain a US server.

Singapore will be the only server left by 12mn EST. My guess is that most groups here would be seeking new servers to call home. I wish you all the best in your migration (if any).

However, BakaNet will still remain as it is, as I believe everyone has been enjoying your stay here. Singapore is maintained by me, hence it will continue to be online for you. Whether we have 1 users or 1000 users, BakaNet is still BakaNet, the network only bakas like me, want you to call home.

Server Link Policy

We currently accept servers from all locations. Please contact Kenshin for more details. You will need to prepare the following details on hand:

1) Server specifications
2) Bandwidth available + ISP
3) IP address to test and number available (1000 users per IP)
4) Location (eg. Ohio, US)
5) Ablility to handle DDOS attacks
6) Reason for link

The server has to be running Linux or UNIX. Create a "bakanet" account and Kenshin will handle the rest. The server will be on a trial-link for 1 month (not included in irc.bakanet.org, only state.country.bakanet.org). If everything goes smoothly, we'll add the server into the irc.bakanet.org DNS.

Welcome to bakanet. Please read the Terms of Service for bakanet, you may also read them when you connect to the server. When you do connect to the server you pledge that you will follow the items within the Terms of Service. BakaNet is still in it's testing phases, but we feel as though it is ready to be used by the fans. There still may be problems with the services, so please read this information. If you find a problem with any of the services features outlined below, please report what you did and the exact error to Kenshin, who can be found in #BakaNet. If services do not respond, check in #BakaNet and wait for the topic change to say when services will be back up. Thanks for your cooperation in this transitional time.
